Professional service also includes more than a decade serving on advisory boards to college journalism programs, including Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and Chabot College. AWARDS
Pulitzer Prize for Public Service, 2009 (Matt did a series of independently investigated editorials that was part of the Las Vegas Sun’s winning package.) Matt has also been awarded by: the Society of Professional Journalists, the Best of the West contest, the Scripps Howard Foundation and the Nevada Press Association. Awards include prizes for investigative work, editorial writing, breaking news and best editorial page.
