Matt has a wide range of ministerial experience, from regularly preaching to dealing with crises.
As a minister in Nevada, he spent three years preaching and ministering in a jail to inmates from all over the world. (The jail had a contract to house federal inmates, including immigration inmates.) During his tenure, God doubled the attendance at Sunday morning services until he was preaching four services a week.
He has ministered to people from a wide range of backgrounds and ages, and he has preached to urban and rural audiences, applying Biblical principles to everyday life with relevant, humorous and meaningful messages that focus on the life-changing power of Jesus.
Matt has done work in difficult situations, ministering in jail, crises and in recovery. He was a leader in a Celebrate Recovery ministry for more than seven years and has helped people through struggles, including depression, substance abuse, violence and relationship issues, among others.
He has preached to small and large audiences, preaching throughout the Bible to help listeners apply biblical truths to experience the transforming life-changing power that Jesus provides.
Matt is a credentialed minister in the Assemblies of God and holds a master’s of divinity degree from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary.
